Manuel Lymph Drainage
Feel the flow!
Where hear that word a lot, but in relation to your lymph, flow is extremely important. The ultimate driver behind detoxification, your lymphatic system acts as filter for your entire circulatory system. It literally cleans your blood. How neat is that?! Directly linked to your immunity, this system is responsible for removing bacteria, viruses, cellular waste, excess fluid and pretty much anything that the body deems harmful thru an intricate drainage process. And like any drainage system, it can get clogged, congested, bogged down and sluggish. Perhaps you’ve had days where you felt the same and all you needed was your lymph to get back in the flow and given a good boost of manual stimulation. A MLD session is designed to do just that.

What exactly is MLD?
Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is a safe and effective technique that manually stimulates lymphatic flow. Though gentle in nature, it is a powerful and highly effective tool to optimize and strengthen your immune system. Considered the ultimate enhancement to any wellness and detox regimen, manually stimulating flow, and in turn decongesting your entire system, provides a plethora of incredible benefits. From releasing toxins to improving sleep, the benefits of MLD are too amazing to not give your lymph a little love. In enhancing this process of filtration through MLD, one can restore a sense of vitality almost immediately. If you are feeling sluggish or any kind of general malaise, or simply in need of profound relaxation, MLD is your path to feeling renewed, restored and recharged.

What is a session like?
An MLD session is typically one hour using a very light touch and technique we call “skin stretching”. It does not work the deeper layers of muscles, but rather the lymphatic system, which lies directly beneath the skin. It begins with a series of neck and stomach sequences to wake up the deeper nodes, followed by the rest of the body. Joint movement may be incorporated to aid in the ‘pumping’ of fluid for maximum flow. Any areas of concern are worked on last after the main fluid channels have been opened.
